I know these are Altifrons. But is it possible to identify the collection point? I like to get a few more but it seems there are a few Altifrons.

These guys are 3 to 4 inches total body length. Also note the red throat. It's quite pronounced from underneath.

The pictures are of the same fish but under different lighting temperature.

IMO, no. There are too many variables to take into account that we do not know. Water perams for one (just as an example) can skew colors as well as stress etc.. all making each fish look different pic to pic.

Thanks guys. It's what I thought also having googled for pictures of this species. There is no visual differences to me.

Well I tried, to keep the strain clean :)

You get an A for effort! Honestly there is grounds for a good debate on the differences between collection locale amongst members who have this information about their fish up front. Without the correct collection point to begin with it's a guess.

I am going through the same thing trying to get the collection details (of the parents) behind some geo's I recently got as well. Are you able to back track through who you purchased the fish from?
