Pond Glass topped Table, Can It Be Done ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Good progress keep at it

Ok so got hold of some polystyrene and used it to line the bottom of the pond then fitted the liner. The liner was awkward to fold into the corners but it looks great:headbang2I then cut the lifting blocks and used some of the left over liner to cover them, this stops the glass from sliding. Then filled the pond with water and left it to settle.

Today i'll do the plumbing and the electrics;)

Cool idea, do you plan on staining the outside of the pond or leave it natural?

Even with the glass top being elevated, the water temperature is going to get quite warm if the pond is exposed to sunlight. I like the way it looks.

Been done :)

Im thinking of leaving it natural and just sealing it.

Thanks, im keeping an eye on the temperature or should I say keeping a finger in it Lol

Are you thinking about plantings? Lilly's would look nice and create shade.

Thanks for your input people, im looking forward to putting the lights on for the first time

Ok got the pump, UV light and filter up and running today the fish seem to like their new home :headbang2

The pipes and cable are just pushed into the the top at the minute, i'll drill the top 4" and pass the pipes and cable though just above the water level using 90* elbows, that will make it much tidier.
