I have a little bit of everything.I have put aside the stuff I won't get rid of and I may go digital in the future as well.It frees up space that's for sure.

if all else fails, we can make someone famous by putting a quran or bible book cover on them and vid record someone burning them. instant fame

any volunteers?

Yeah and cause a few zealots to go postal....

Id go postal...no book deserves to be burned! Esp not a bible...(But that's a topic for later :))

That's kind of how I feel when I see them put out for trash.

I recently got a job at Half Price Books, great company btw and you can bring your books there and you'll be given cash. 0 taxes involved. I know there are a few locations in Pennsylvania and I'd say it's worth a shot.

My wife tried garage saling 12 cases of books. Only a few books sold. So, we took the rest of the books over to the VA hospital and donated them. My wife kept a list of the books that were boxed up (along with their cover prices). Our tax consultant listed the books as a donation (yes the hospital gave us a receipt for the books in case we found out we could deduct them as a charitable expense).

Good idea Oddball.I was thinking about dropping them by some hospitals or homeless shelters.

We have drop boxes all over town for books, usually near your standard goodwill type drop boxes.
