I finally went and got one today, he is actively swimming around the tank and will go and hide in the plants but comes out all eager when I come up to the glass.

Haven't measured it but I would say he/she is about 6 inches. He ignored the pellets and flakes but later tonight, once he is more settled in I am going to try freeze dried bloodworms. They had just got him in today so there is no real idea what he had been fed before, so let's hope I can get it to eat tonight or tomorrow.

He's in with my lutino oscar and my JD, who both can't seem to figure it out.

Nice knife! I really like mine. He was shy at first, but he's really started to open up recently. I see him out and about a lot more. If yours is anything like mine, he'll go nuts for the blood worms.

Mine is actually out all the time, even with plenty of hiding spots. He swims around with all the other fish and will come up to the glass when I am looking into the tank, but does spook easily. Currently battling ick in the tank he is in, I believe he brought it in, even after being quarantined for over a week.

My thoughts and experience exactly. My clown, ghost and brown knife go crazy over frozen blood worms. My brown knife learned to like pellets over time also. My clown on the other hand eats anything and everything that fits in his mouth haha. Hogs all of the food I put in the tank. Your knife looks good! You will love him and want a clown or ghost.....just like me lol. I started with the brown and just needed a ghost. They are my favorite fish in the tank. Good luck with him!
