Cute stuff. I wish you'd show the pond, its size, and what other inhabitants are. But from that little spot looks like a nice set-up. What are the white fish? Are the grey fish pacus?

the pond is 3,500 gal , yes they are pacus , other fish are hybrid tilapia , oscars and a hybrid rtc who wasn't hungry that time
the white fish i am feeding are a saltwater fish related to deepwater silver sides , i catch them during full moons when the come into the shallows to spawn , i also catch shrimp and small crabs that i use to feed my predatory fish although at the moment a small bullshark managed to tangle and tear my only good net , he was alright when i untangled him and set him free though

Thanks. I do much the same here, collecting and fishing for the food I give my catfishes. Do you use net traps or cast-nets or what? Could you not keep the shark or just pitied it? It'd be a lot of food for a long time - just some work to partition it... and of course need a freezer, as with any wild-caught foods.

nah don't like killing bigger fish , they may also have higher concentrations of heavy metal and other toxins , plus its easier to store and feed the smaller fish and shrimp

I guess I have to repeat myself: ~ same here :) I strongly prefer a bunch of small, wholesome, bite-size fish to feed my monsters - it is cleaner, easier, and nutrinionally almost perfect... it's just it takes so much time (for me) to catch many small ones that I often wish I caught a few big ones and be set for many months.

i understand your point but i am of the opinion that larger fish would carry a larger load of toxins accumulated throughout their life that would be transferred to my fish upon feeding i am not so bothered by the processing part i actually catch and fillet flounder, snapper and other fish on the spot for my pot and save the heads for my dogs cuz our livers are much larger and more efficient than predatory catfish so we would not be adversely affected , i hope you understand my point :arapaimag

Sure I do. I was not trying to influence you whatsoever, merely shared my thoughts on how I go about it :) I don't think I'd be worried atm about the toxins in larger fish, albeit this thought definitely has a merit. I need to read up on it, for sure.
