Some interesting bits of info.

Every eight seconds a child dies from drinking dirty water

Half of the world‚ hospital beds are occupied by people with an easily preventable waterborne disease

80 percent of all sickness and disease worldwide is related to contaminated water, according to the World Health Organization

Diarrhea killed more children in the last decade, nearly 2 million a year in developing countries , than all armed conflicts since the Second World War.

Dirty water kills more children than war, malaria, HIV/AIDS and traffic accidents combined

75 percent of the people in Latin America and the Caribbean suffer from chronic dehydration because of poor water quality

Day before Yesterday one of My faucets sprung a major leak and I had to cut hot water to the house, And whenever someone wanted a shower or bath I had to go to the garage and manually turn the water on and off to prevent it from running constantly. It was a very slight inconvenience, but no biggie. I don't know why but it just got me to really thinking about the role water plays in my life, and the lives of others. I have all the gratitude in the world to be able to do with water as I please. Many people don't have that luxury.

Has the weather affected You in anyway? I am mostly dissapointed by the Prices and the quality of food at my local grocers.

this topic can get far to political ..but I have to say the first pic is a Lie...tribes that keep cattle often use the urine of the cows to bleach their hair and other purposes

just saying... I hate when people use pics of things for another topic that is not related.

Yes it is a custom for some villagers to bathe in or drink urine. but it is also a practice for those who are affected by drought to use the urine of animals and themselves for consumption.

I will never subscribe to the theory that there is a water shortage. Many villages in drought stricken areas could benefit from a well and Water pump. I believe the larger issue is access to clean water. As most places have Rivers and Streams to support a local populace but those bodies of water are often polluted/bacteria laden as shown in the video posted above. Here is a cool invention, With developing countries adding to the problem, I am sure that there will be more of a need for a mass marketed filtration system. Has anyone here taken part in or witnessed the rehabilitation of a polluted body of water?

I real problem yes. The video is and picture is completely unnecessary and is just trying to make it look even worse.

Some places where there are water issues could be solved by the government making it a point to do something about it. Others, obviously its a real problem. Either way you're videos and pictures make this look like an advertisement campaign.
