Got hit by an uninsured motorist

He got hit with ticket for no insurance and went to small claim court and won by default because he didn't show up and waiting now to have his paycheck garnished

Ur lucky it wasn't ur fault else you would have been liable obviously.

I work in the car rental industry and see this at least a couple times a week. Good luck getting your money. Usually if someone can't afford insurance they also can't afford to pay for any losses. Hopefully you can get your money but I have found a lot of the time you aren't the only one they owe money to and typically go bankrupt. I was shocked when I renewed my registration that they did not require me to show proof of insurance.
 
This is exactly why I have uninsured motorist. In this exact situation my insurance pays for my damages and they go after the uninsured person who hits me

Better to have it and never need it than to need it and not have it

Yup exactly you can have full coverage but make sure u have uninsured on there learned the hard way
