My 220 Gallon Monster Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Haha I didn't know that! And that is one of my favorite drinks but I'll change it ;) I think they look different too. I like the peacock bass and fire eel ideas.

Ok thanks for not haten and actually giving me advice :) do you think a clown knife could work?

Yup great advice coming from someone that has never kept large arowana. A 220 will be fine as a growout. Silver aros get 30"+ and a 96 x 30 x 24 (300 gallon) is the minimum for an adult. Only get one if you are capable of upgrading to that size or larger. What are the dimensions of your tank.

It's 72 long and 24 wide. Don't know the height. I heard that Jardinis get smaller than Silvers could one of those work? And can I see a picture of your Arowana?

3 blacks in a 360 setup
1 jar in a 150 growout
Youll see a video of my old silver crammed in a 240.

You could get a jar, but they are notorious for killing tankmates. Be prepared to dedicate your 220 to it. Depends on the personality of the fish, have seen jar communities work. Both jars I have owned turned out to be psychotic killers

Ok thanks for the help. I think I'll go with a Jar and a catfish or something.

I also have a 6ft 24" tank and the stock as of tonight is 7" Green Terror, seven 4" silver dollars(had eight but one got stuck on filter intake), and in the morning im going to pick up my 7" fire eel... And I will be adding my eight clown loaches soon that I have growing out in a separate tank.. Just some ideas for you..

I would not get the Jardini if I were you, not if you plan on having a community tank!!! The silver aro would work for a couple years though!!
