Looking for a good feeder breeding project.. help

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
To have breeders that in the same tank makes it difficult to use cichlids unless you use a tank divider to seperate the tank which is an option! Mollies or swordtails might be an option if you get large enough breeders and the marbled crays might work but they can sometimes be aggressive but these are probably your best options!

Ideally you need to start breeding outside of the tank and eventually you'll have enough so it becomes a never ending food supply. Convicts breed alot and produce alot of fry.

Red wiggler worms are safe, nutritious and super easy to culture in a couple of Rubbermaid bins.

Google "Red wiggler worm culture" or "composting worm culture".

You'll be waiting weeks or months for enough livebearers or convicts to be large enough to feed in quantity.

I have a 50+ tank fishroom and haven't bought live or frozen food in years because of the red wiggler bin in my garage...

Yeah the worms work very well. I have 2 old styrofoam shipping boxes I use for red wrigglers and another kind. I prefer the styrofoam cause of the insulation keeps the temp more stable and I have them stacked on top of each other. I gather a few worms, rinse them and drop them in the tank for my endlicheris! I love this culture cause it don't really take up much space, minimum of maintenance, and no electricity to maintain them. I actually set it and forget it alot unless I am feeding my fish!

you can get guppies in large qauntities online sometimes i have thought of using them for my gar if they dont switch and have a outside guppy pond lol
