Ive been trolling a good bit lately with the tuna and sailfish in and the factory four rod holders, two in front and two in back, werent cutting it. The two in back worked fine but the two in front always got in my way.
I like to bring a bottom rod, two trolling rods, a pitch rod and a bait rod. With only four rod holders I had to have one rod serve double duty for bottom fishing and trolling which also was a PITA.
Ive seen some examples of this online so I decided to tackle it. It took me about two hours and wasnt too bad at all. It turned out great. Now I can troll two, even three rods easily and I have enough rod holders to bring all the rods I will need now plus not have two in front of me to get in my way.
