I think I remember you getting these and not knowing what they were.
we had a hunch what they were and we took the risk to get them. also not alot of pieces. showing it on mfk and asking to id them is just assurance..

As for the pinima, if I understand you correct, these were all labeled as Germany or some were and others were not, but now they all look the same? As you know, some pinima will grow big to have bright orange on the bellie, but not until pretty big. I actually really like pinima. Also a few years back we got some "salvador" temensis, that ended up looking almost, just like pinima, but a little different, but I think most have died off, and not many big ones out there.
Yes Wes, the "Salvador" tems were actually pinimas. There are quite a few still floating around. In the colorado zoo, some in hawaii and some in the state.
yeah Leighton, but his has a bunked fin, he sold all the other perfect ones
yeah he told me he called you. glad everythings straightened out. these guys were labelled cichla sp (collection point), my supplier and i use the "sp" as a collectioin point for where the fish were collected. hence we always use sp for wild caught fish. hold up, before we go any further, when you say are these the same as the german pinimas are you referring to this post? coz we were talking about the orino not the pinima in this statement

darboy: Yeah tydus! Got that from a seller here who had two tanks, one labelled taiwan and the other germany... I got 3 from the tank labelled germany haha but this is the only guy with bright red eyes and bluish coloration at 8 inches.. The other two are more yellow and in the dormant stage of some orinos where colors and marking arent that ibrant as to when they get to ten inches above.... I think the orino you like might gave the best traits in coloration between the three.
