best way to get them breeding?

nice wonder if that can be passed on into the fry?

Yeah it can be passed onto the fry if it's a BGJD. About half the fry will receive the gene and be heterozygous for it.

If you want to try a (very) fruitful project, I suggest you (or anyone really) to breed an EBJD with whatever, so that the hybrid will definitely be heterozygous for the EB gene. And then do a F1 intercross to obtain a F2 with hopefully 25% EB-ness. :P

Id try it if it doesn't work with this female been day3 and she shows no intrest thenn again I'm sure its not gonna be easy

still nothing dont really see them getting along but the worst hes done is chase her but once in awhile

Hm, such a long time already and no bond eh. :/ What I find tends to work better is if the male has multiple choices, then he will be more likely to choose one - and also the other two acts as a competitor, which makes the chosen female be more wary and try harder to end up with the male. It's like humans. A girl may never be interested in a guy but if two others suddenly come and show interest, bam she's suddenly the most interested (okay not really always the case lol but you get the idea).

That's how I got my Ellioti and Convict to breed, give him three choices of females. I risked it a bit by adding in a smaller female as well - didn't want my Ellioti to breed with her but I felt the smaller size would make her be more likely to be outcompeted by the female I want to breed with him. In the end he ended up pairing with her (yay) but fertilized the eggs of the third female (wtf). It was weird seeing the momma protecting the eggs by herself, chasing away pops and his missus lol.

Good thing the third Convict was pretty nice, so not bad at all.

But yes, try three females. ;D When they've truly bonded, you can remove the spares.
