Its tricky because people dont understand bioloads and water volume. From what ive learned, just take the cycling process very slow, use lots of liverock and sand, slowly add the bioload as each addition will give a small hiccup in the BB and water params. So dont over feed, slowly add life, keep a close eye on water evap (smaller tanks salinity swings harsher because of water volume. One gallon of evap in a 210 gallon tank is neligible and 1/2 gallon evap in a 5.5 can be a tank crash.) and its harder to pile equipment onto the tank, light options are harder to come by.

+1 salt tanks can be tricky but if you take them slow they can be real easy. i have a 20 gallon salt tank and i have no problems with it

If i had the $$ and space, id be keeping aros, payara (scombs and armatus) and id really like to try out ATF's.

+ 1 on the payara. They look like monsters. other than piranha, i keep SA/CA cichlids. Cons, JDs, green terrors, severums.
