gravel size fish size combos

so i was wondering if i can use these big rocks as a substrate with my large snakeheads or would i risk them chipping glass when eating and being all snakehead like?,just got two buckets for free so if there safe id prolly like to use them. my 1st choice would have been sand but this was free

get egg crate or light defuser from home depot and put it on the bottom of your tank then put the gravel in. will hold the gravel on the bottom in place and not cause damage to ur tank.​

Large sized gravel traps too much food and debris. However, it will work if you constantly vacuum the gravel during water changes.

Just plain Pfs, and I gathered small rocks from outside, rinsed them out and I had a lot of large grain sand. Even a few handfuls of rock and sand from a creek will rinse out to be natural and the same! Thanks!

that sand rock mix looks quite natural i like it. yeah my main concern was the larger fish splashing gravel into the glass n chipping it when feeding n fightng

No your good man! Atleast my fish have never done anything like that, it would take a lot more weight and speed to crack your glass!
