Pretty much what the title says is the question. Been thinking of selling some african clawed frogs as pets. Some of the more rare species (borealis, muerelli?, others) and some of the different Laevis morphs (albino, reticulated, pied). There isn't many places to get some of the more rare types if at all. Very sporadically at best. I've been raising these frogs for quite sometime now and have bred them before. I like these frogs a lot and think it would benefit others if people can get them.

The normal wild color Laevis type of ACF are much easier to find. So was just wondering if people would buy young frogs as feeders for some of the larger fish out there (aros, gars etc.). Of course they would be of quality and a fair price. Just want to see what is out there before I get more into this.

All opinions are appreciated! As feeders or as pets! Anything.

I would love to own on but not legal in my state. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_clawed_frog

"Due to incidences in which these frogs were released and allowed to escape into the wild, African Clawed Frogs are illegal to own, transport or sell without a permit in the following US states: Arizona, California, Kentucky, Louisiana, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Virginia, Hawaii, Nevada, and Washington state"

The only ones we can have are the little dwarf types.

One of our lfs down here sell them for feeders. I haven't bought any for that reason but have had a few end up "dinner" anyways.

The dwarf frogs are nothing compared to acf's. Wish I could ship to all the states. I get why not though. They can live in a variety of water temperatures and can eat alot of smaller fish or insects. Still sucks though!

I know this thread is old, and I'm not sure if you've bailed on this project yet, but I would be interested in some feeder frogs should you decide to go ahead with the venture.
