Wow! Amazing pair. How is breeding them?

Very beautiful pair! I have been eyeing this species for a while now. Whats their temperment like with their tankmates?

Thanks..

They're not a pair so there hasn't been any spawning yet. They're guys aren't too hard on one another (4 total) and get along fairly well with the rest of their tankmates. My biggest is creeping up on 5" and the smallest is prolly 3.5"

Here's a breeding pair of A. robertsoni 'Jutiapa', F1s. Very slow growing.

Nice pair...seen these guys over on ACA right? How big were they when they first spawned? I've owned them in the past but grew impatient with their slow growth.

Well good luck, and hope they spawn soon.

I have a video of the pair guarding a spawn on the ACA site. The pair were about 4-5" when they first spawned, but are close to 2 years old. I don't believe they get anywhere as large as the blue form of 'robertsoni'. In fact, I'm not sure that this fish is 'robertsoni' - might be another species altogether IMO.

Yours are robertsoni, but don't know what varriation. They are very slow growing and it took my female 4-5 years to get to 8-9".
