Here are three of my Astatheros - nourisatti, robertsoni, and altifrons. All are still under 3.5". I'm finding their growth rates to be slower than other centrals, particularly the robertsoni.

Wow he is a beast! He has really nice colors. Almost looks like a mini umbee:)

Thanks, he really does have some nice colors. Aclockworkorange has (I believe he still does) another male I had that looks really nice, too. They are WC Rio Jutapia from the Cichlid Exchange.

They look great. Yes they seem to be very slow growers. I bought a rostratus at the time and was the same size as my h. Deppi over 2 years ago. My h. Deppi is over 7" now and the rostratus is only 4". My robertsoni grew much faster then my rostratus too. Altifrons seems to be extremely slow growing too.
