Animal skin leather

I have no issues with using animals as food or for skin..just for skin or what ever.

as along as the animal is humanely killed and, and when being raised/ farmed for what ever reason, that they are provided with basic needs and not tortured and mistreated.

love animals...love to eat them..love to ware them...really its life.

fish DIE to feed your fish O.o

All " leather " things I have are of animal origin. Personnaly cant' stand fake leather.

I'm not saying to shouldn't be used . Its more of doing it properly. Using the whole animal instead of its hide alone.

Chef, this thread is intended for the love of animals, hes simply saying in his opinion harvesting animals for clothes is sad, especially exotic species.

Not sure if your having a bad day or what but that was extremly uncalled for and you made it very personal, not to mention your contribution was completely negative.....

While I agree animals are not to be abused. THEY ARE ANIMALS AND NOT HUMAN BEINGS SO THEY ARE PERFECTLY SUITABLE TO BE USED FOR MAKING PRODUCTS FOR MANKIND.

You are free to have your thoughts regarding animals and to express them. Yet, you are also free to receive the thoughts of other people if you wish to post up a thread for public response.

Wow, seriously? Humans are classified as animals. Last time I checked there were two categories, fauna and flora. Not fauna, flora, and humans. The only thing that makes the human race different is we have the advanced ability to communicate with each other and have a better understanding of the world. We are not the only animals to use tools, Ravens and many other animals have proven that. It's really tiring to continually hear people classify "other animals" as just something we can use and throw away when we're done with.

Your against animal abuse but are you aware that most animals that are skinned for their fur are still conscious? It's common practice to skin animals alive and if you don't believe me look it up. On another note, just because someone shows compassion for another species and doesn't want to see them beat to death then have their fur ripped off while fully conscious during it doesn't make them a crazy animal worshiper. It makes them a compassionate person.

It's understandable

but I've learned to think before I post when lashed at. You can get the same message across and still be well spoken. It actually has a better affect on your initial cause. When you lash back you're not helping your cause and just opens it up for more attacks
 
And the ability to communicate isnt really even advanced since all species possess it. For all we know they could understand us far better then we realize. For example, If you know anything about Orcas, then you would know that different pods have different dialects (almost like they have different languages like humans do but know the general gist of talking) and have a very advanced way of contacting and communicating with each other.

Vet, why should there be a differen between exotic animals and the others? In reality, a cow, or an old, put down, horse, are no less than any exotic.( as you know, evidently )

Everyday millions of animals are slaughtered for our comsumption, either in the abattoir or hunted and, in that framework, leather is a product as is meat, that we consume and use.

What canot be condoned is cruelty to animals, such as we all have seen, and, in my opinion, the raising of animals just for their leather. ( but that is my opinion )
