10" 24 carat gold arowana coming on saturday!!

Hi all,
24 carat gold arowana will be coming on saturday I'm very excited!!.....Any tips on how to improve colouration??
The tank's bottom will be covered with white sand and planning to put a T5 light and a white background.
I should keep the light on for 8 hours everyday for the colour right?At this size can MP be fed with shell?Will post the pics as soon as it arrives

Usually a darker background and substrate will bring out the color better on any fish. Good Luck.

I have read that WTT should be done till 15 inches then shift it to a tabk with black background
