Is this to much filtration

You can NOT over filter a normal tank. Just keep the water current acceptable to the requirements of the fish.
 
The only thing i dont like was that ur mixing the two waters africans needs diferents things pH and tanks looks wasome

Thanks. Ph is at 8 they do well so far. Always breeding. And I notice my red terror is very calm being the biggest in the tank. And I believe they adapt very well
 
Nitrate levels is not an indication of how good your filter is. The best conventional filters should be nitrate generation machines.

Rule of thumb is, if you have ammonia and nitrite issues, increase your filter. If you have nitrate issues, increase your wc, decrease your stock, add plants or a combination of all three.

I have over 50 stalks of pothos plants in the sump for nitrate. All the filters to polish and well circulated water with oxygen. I am heavily stock but I want to keep it clean as possible
