I'd say that they are just playing. You have some cute little guys. A varied diet is important. You are doing good, just add some more veggies in the mix. They should be eating mostly veggies, with a little meat... Not the other way around. Also, I wouldn't try for breeding ( just my two cents). These are a fish that really don't belong in the hands of average people, and the market doesn't need any more of them. Kinda like pit bulls, a lot of them live terrible lives with early deaths because they are available to any ignorant person with five bucks. But enough of that. Yours look great. Here's a pic of my four. I've had the bigger two for about seven years now, and the smaller two for about two years. They were all rescued from 55 gallon tanks.

Thank you ;-) nice pacu!! My pond and my big tank are both finished and my pacu are the only ones in it!! Since my last post they have already doubled in size!! Lol the hyper bastards are still rough housing constantly, without damaging one another of course. ;-) these guys are so awesome!!!

Here's another pic of them getting bigger. That log under them is about 8 inches so you get a good idea of their size. They still never leave each others side and love horsing around. Now they're starting to destroy all my plants and crash into the glass, its quite loud. Lol. And just recently they ate my glass thermometer! I was completely amazed that the whole bottom of it including the lead balls and some of the red Goo was all gone no trace anywhere in the tank! They're bad. Thankfully they were ok.

Both of mine's are at least 28" 12yr and 10yrs old and still like to chase and play with each other

Nice mine about the same. Had mine since I started fish keeping and it's now 24" I think it's stunted due to neglect. Was living in a 29g tank till I was able to get a bigger then another bigger tank.
