Rarest arowana?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
As for rarest, it's different for each person. For me, Platinum Silver wouldn't be rare. Any color mutation of an Aro is rare if there is hardly any in other country. For example, Platinum Jardini, Albino Black, etc.

I bet there are none to be found though

Batik Jardini
It's just a Jardini with unique marking, could be a certain bred or WC from a specifc place in Australia. That's the 2nd one of that kind I've seen.

I believe the Batik arrowana is a Asian species found in Burma. It has 7 row scales. For me, the African arrowana is the rarest here. I rarely see any around here(SoCal). black australian, silver. The platinum get stuck in Asia . Just my 2cents.

Red phase leichardti, only seen one and that was 4 years ago. It was from a food fish farm in Australia that had them on the property.

Batik jardini and batik asian arowana (new species just described) are two different things. I believe batik means scribbled, it describes the pattern. If you look at the video closely and count the rows of scales it is a jardini not an asian arowana.

as far as I see, that is a normal Jardini!

You need to better resolution if the video looks like a normal jardini to you. It is not a red phase, that mutation does pop up from what I understand and looks similar to low quality red phase asian aros.
