The driftwood was just small enough to fit thru the top braces without any cutting

I am so sick and tired of the silver dollars eating all the plants I stick in there! So I tried fake plants for the first time from the craft store

What do you guys think? Should I keep the plastic or ditch it?

Looks good bro! Keep the plants ! Add some long grass so it can wave around !add a top current to give it the glimmering effect!

Its starting to grow on me the more I look at it and most importantly the wife loves it. I think the long grass suggestion is a good idea. I hope to find some I like, the LFS over here are kinda lacking. Thats why I got those plants from the craft store my wife goes to.

There is actually a lot of top current. I got 4 10w led floodlights and a Koralia Evo 1400 pointed to the surface and the tank does glimmer nicely but does not really show up in the pictures.

of all the fake plants i've use, the ones you have right now are my favorite, especcially when they get some algae growing on them!

Nice setup, my friend. I love the stock list. Nice mix. I bet you can watch this tanks activity all day long. I know I would!

Thank you! :) it's very relaxing watching them and having a beer. Not much of a monster stock but needed something the wife likes too since I'm gone at least half the year and she has to take care of them :grinno: trying to get her into my obsession:screwy:
