Not likely but one thing to think about is they didn't show Carl actually shoot his mom. Could be something going on with that in the future. Possible future walker? Or just too emotional to actually put in the show?

He did laugh. He went crazy. I mean she ends up dying and he knew carl had to kill her again. Your son had to kill your mom...if that isn't going to make you hysterical what isn't.
