Ladies of mfk...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Does your other half like to cook or bake? One thing that always seems to go over very well are kitchenaid mixers-and they're usually on sale during black friday.
I'd personally say, ONLY if a woman actually requests a "domestic work tool".

Every woman loves a nice pant suit.
I don't.

;-)
LOL.

Pet spoiler was a biker chick...
NOT. haha
I'm just trying to help these guys that are making 'blanket' statements about what's safe to buy women for gifts.
SO far you are about the smartest & most thoughtful.
;-)

on a serious note, if i tried to do things the way ecoli or pet spoiler suggested, i'd end up with nothing as she'd tell me nothing. i just take her shopping in the few months leading up to christmas and pay attention to the type of things she's looking at or beyotching about prices (ecoli suggested this idea too). i just don't think the tell me what you want or order what you want with my money idea works in your 20s. i find it hard to believe that later on in life after you've been living with each other for so long that you don't just KNOW what they want from your daily interactions. At that point don't you just go buy what you want yourself anyways?

Lol @ pant suit... I don't think I've ever even touched a pant suit...let alone owned one...hahaha.

Gah! I've missed so much!! (stupid computer...)

I love surprises. And I love guessing games. So when it comes to gift season, for me, half the gift is trying to figure it out and then being surprised when I have no clue! And half of that half is Mike having the patience to play the game with me as he hates both. Lol.

I'm getting him a Wok though. He's said several times he wants one so I'm thinkin it's fair safe. Lol. And he does a fantastic job of surprising me and doing something sweet, even if it's not that epic. Which, really, does it need to be? His birthday is the 25th so I know your pain Savannah! (or maybe Inglorious...i forgot who said it, lol) I've got to double up as well and make it good for someone who's felt cheated for 27 years...lol.

I don't see the point in asking him what he wants and then buying it and then Wrapping it and going through the song and dance. Personally, I think Christmas and the occasional birthday (I stopped celebrating mine when I was like 15 - just didn't care. Lol) should be a surprise. The others - meh.

There's my take on it. It was a pleasure complicating matters for you. Lol. ;)
