I can get a sexed pair of "dwarf spiny iguana" with complete set up and the lot for a really good deal.
I was curious, as you can see one of the iguanas in the picture, does anyone know what type it is? a quick google search didn't get me anywhere so I think the animal is mislabeled.
I really want to know what kind it is so I can research it before I get them (I am tempted by the price)

Thanks a lot

Not a chuckwalla but doesn't really look like any species of iguana either.... not really sure what that is there, maybe try to get better pics?

Thanks wiggles that looks just like it.

Do you guys think its a good deal? the tank stand lights and all the goodies in there would cost around 200 dollars anyway if not more. so 297.00 to me is an amazing deal for 2 of these guys and all the above.

anyone else kept these?

do some research and figure out if your kit is accurate to its needs

It's hard to do research when there are so many ctenasaura species and the ones I can buy don't look exactly like any of them.
the store said they came in as "collared dwarf spiney tail iguanas" there are 4 at the store, 2 of them have stripes that look like htey are fading on the body, where the larger male only had one black ring around his neck.

are they closely related different species or are they just variation within the breed?

I think they're Yucatán spiny-tailed iguanas (Ctenosaura defensor) or another similar species of that genera.

Borrowed this off of a Facebook friend's profile:

I'm havinga real hard time deciding if I have the above

or

3 different species that all look similar to what I have. does anyone know any Ctenosaura experts I could contact for an ID?

I managed to get a picture of the larger male in the other tank with one ring around his neck

Does anyone know if the two I posted are different species or not? cause I have a choice on which ones I want to get so it would be good to know if one of them is larger or smaller growing than the other
