Short body RTC and SB paroon shark?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thx for more information on them. That price is definitely affordable. Also reason why I want the SB's over a normal one is cuz so they don't end up eating my other prized fish. I just picked up a 600 gallon (8x4x2.5) and looking into raising some nice catfish again and I know a normal RTC will grow to a very large size in it and will eventually outgrow it which I don't want. So I don't mind the SB's deformity. It's a risk I'm willing to spend on:)

I'd be impressed if you find them, especially at the quoted price. They're pretty rare imo.

Ya every for sale thread on them SB's that I've seen are from Asia. Good thing is I go to Asia 2-3 times a year to visit family/fiance and I'm looking into importing them back from there myself. They aren't on the endangered species list nor restricted in Canada. So I gonna ask the customs if I can bring them back or not since they're much easier to find over there. Also I remember seeing SBKM in HK before at their fish street shops. I just didn't know what it was at the time.

KM? And if your taking recommendations you should do a giraffe catfish. Also I suggest jurense shovel nose because they sound more interactive and they are a species of interest to me but I never see anyone with big ones or people who actually record/report data. Would you buy all of them at a juvenile state?

KM stands for Kong Ming which is another nick name for paroon shark. Yes I will be buying them in juvenile sizes. Grow them out in flat down 90-100g's first before they go into the 600g. My 600g isn't set up yet. This is just all future planning for my dream stock.
