No, I never handle him.
If he bites you, he is going to put you in the hospital.
They have an incredibly large set of razor sharp teeth with a bite designed to rip and tear, along with
a powerfull neck and forelimbs, yes im sure one this size, can leave you permanently disfigured.

These guys are notoriously aggressive and you typically do not pick lizards up when they are at this size. If this individual bit him he would loose a chunk of his flesh at the very least.

Yes, picking him up at this stage of the game, to just pick him up, would be kinda pointless.
To much stress on the animal, and to much risk involved on myself.
Only if I absolutely had too.
