Newbie to Marine

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yes mate same place! Said there sending me new parts out 2moro.

How noisy are sumps ?????!!!!! Sounds like the washing machine is on full spin GRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

My sump is silent mate. Is it the pipe work in the weir that's noisy maybe? How many pipes do you have in the weir?

One mate, has a durso style overflow which doesnt seem noisy. The weir water luevel is approx 2" lower than the comb level. Has a tap on top to regulate air. The pipes drop 1" below water level in the sump and comes out crashing loads of air in it, this is were the its noisy!. Return pump is ehiem compact 3000

Ideas ??

Durso can be noisy. I run a twin pipe setup instead of a Durso so I'm not going to be of much help, hopefully someone else will jump in to help you on that one.

Are you on any other fish/marine forums?

Yer mate recently joined UltimateReef. Just posted a thread on there

Thanks
