Longnoses being farmed in asia?

probobly needle nosed gars. highly probable saying that you are also from Ontario. So many encounters from me.

As already stated true longnoses, Lepisosteus osseus. I purchased the three that were available. They go along well with the other 7 in my collection.

i think they are coming from indonesia. Thats where my LNG is from!

Did you acquire yours as a juvenile or an adult. I've seen a couple adults in collections of indonesian members, but no juveniles.
 
i just seen about 20 the same size at an lfs by me. almost picked some up. may be from the same farms. ill talk to the store and see if i can track down the origin on them. they do alot of importing so it is all possible.

mine was an adult. But the same LFS i bought it from has juvenils coming in too.
 
I heard earlier this year they have begun to breed longnose gars too in florida soley for the aqauriums. i have not seen too many platinum longnoses. its nice though that they are being bred on a regular basis.
 
they breed eveything out there dont they? they got like perfect waters for fish to thrive. atleast catfish arapimas n channas.n arrows. atleast this is what youtube has showed me lol
