This is a great species to keep. I was lucky enough to have a trio a while back. The colors can be outstanding especially when spawning.

I've encountered them before but this is my first. Mine is around 6-7 inches...I'm thinking thats close to full grown but could be wrong.

He looks very nice. I have 6 3 inch juvies and 1 7 inch male. I have seen a male at 9 inches before though.

Beautiful fish. I had a pair for a while but sold them before they got a chance to spawn. They are very cool fish.

That would be impressive...mine is around 7 inches.

They are listed as a max of 8" ... though I imagine it's possible they could get larger in an aquarium like many cichlids do.
