any powerhead used with a plug in timer could be used, you can get a timer at Walmart or any hardware store. Same kind of timer that you would use with your lighting.

I'd add a simple sponge filter to the powerhead best backup for almost nothing in cost.

Great advice. I don't see the purpose of using a powerhead without a sponge filter, doesn't have to be huge but even a small sponge makes a huge difference.

I have the 13 watt SunSun which Aquatops are re branded SunSuns. It cleared the green pea soup from my 265 in a 5 days.
