Well I decided that I'm buying myself some beamswork LED lights for my tank. I wanted glass tops but they were just a bit pricey and would only be temporary as I'm upgrading soon to a 75. I went to home depot and bought two 12 x 24 " sheets of lexan, ge 1 silicone, handles and the plastic cutting tool (pretty much a glorified razor blade) and began. This is the end result, the hinge is just a bead of silicone and the handles are siliconed on. The handles are nickle plated and were $1.38 a piece but I thought it added a bit. Only showing a picture of one as they are both exactly the same. Total cost with the tool and silicone was $40. Not a bad deal imo.
