water change and salt. It seems that payara are super fast healers of their general injured body, but they are terrible at growing back their torn fins.

Do a waterchange, add some aquarium salt. I never use any of the chemicals unless absolutly needed.

Edit: Start with 1tbsp per 10 gal and take it from there.

A few months ago my big tank got a really bad case of Ich from some damn feeders. I treated with 1 tbsp per ten gallons and my tat and scomb both handled it like champs.
