My 55 gallon saltwater tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just gotta ask....Isn't a 55 a bit small for a blue tang? Or is that only in a community setting? (I did notice there's only two fish...)

The tank looks really nice! Holy corals, batman! lol. ;)

Oh, and another thing I wondered about...How bad is the evaporation in that thing? I lose about a gal every other day on my 55 (and that's lidded). I'd be afraid to take the lids off. lol. My poor lovelies would dry up while I'm at work!

Thanks! evaporation is not bad at all, it gets weekly water changes

It's like mushroom heaven!

Definitely too small for Tangs though. But that's a whole other debate that I don't want to get into :)

Thanks!! yes it is too small for tangs, they were both free. the blue tang came from a customer that had it in a 29 gallon for a long time, it is verry scared up so this tank is a much much better home from where it came from. the yellow tang came from a costumer that passed away and needed a place for his fish to go. there is a larger tank in the plans

I have a feeling you like mushrooms ? lol
lol yup, they are easy to take care of
