Hey guys, looking for a good and easy breeding project.
Was looking at danios first because I'd like to have a whole bunch of them, as my other tank could do with a clean up crew!
Which are the easiest to breed? Are danios easy to breed compared to the others?
And what size tank is best to breed these?
Thanks

Livebearers (guppies, platys, etc.) are much easier to breed than egglayers. However, danios are an easy to breed egglayer. Goldfish are a bit harder to breed.

Danios eat their eggs. Best way to breed them is to place marbles in the bottom of the tank. Condition the adults with live foods for a couple of weeks. Place males and females in tank. Fish will spawn. Eggs will fall to bottom. Remove adults and raise the fry.

Ahh ok, roughly how many fry's per spawn?
I have a spare 3ft tank, thinking about using that to breed.
can there be other fish in the tank? or best to just have the eggs in tank by themselves?

A group of danios will lay a couple hundred of eggs. Can't have other fish in the tank. They will eat the fry.
