Can dwarf gourami kept in pair?

+1. Add a lot of true aquatic plants. When we say a lot, make it heavily planted. They always like to chase each other. Plants will serve as deterrent for the chasing and snack from time to time. Don't worry they will not be able to kill the plants by eating them. They also add beauty, add more oxygen and function as to reduce waste. I keep a few of them, the dwarfs.
I had no trouble with mine they should be fine mate just watch them for any aggression sometimes they Nip at one another

Rarely worked long time for me. I couldn't stand the constant, and i mean constant squabbling. Maybe two females.
The dwarf gourami was the first egglayer I ever spawned (about 50 years ago). Kept a pair in a 10 gallon tank with no problems. Tank did have lots of plants.
