Anyone have any success keeping these smaller dats in freshwater? Or in general experience keeping them? Thanks.

I have two from rapps for almost a year now. One 8-9 and one 6 in. always 100% stable and very bright silver/white.

They have been fresh the whole time

can you comment on temperament and your setups? any growing pains or lessons learned?

I have both of mine in a 300 with rays its pbass and gar. They leave everyone alone, like to hide during the day but ate very aggressive feeders and are out at night.

At fist they were taking live only, I have managed to get them on shrimp but still no interest in pellets although all of my other fish take pellets

I had one that mysteriously died at around 3". Bought it around the same time as my Indos and my indos are now pushing 13". Not sure what the cause of death was though

Are you keeping the indos in freshwater?

Ok i had 2 the little one died within a month of having it (i think the previous owner lied to me and didn't have it in fresh) and the bigger one is going strong!!! He was on live then got him on silversides...... Then was stuffing the sides with pellets and now he eats anything i run my 300g at 80 degrees.... He lives with alot of different fish never bothers any of them..... Mine actually has a great personally....
