I've been down this road, had plenty of large pieces to sell but shipping prices were $400- $800 for pieces your size or bigger.

Guys, shipping is crazy, the worst quote I got, and this was coast to coast, was $1750!!! But its been sold anyway, I had a friend meet up with the buyer.
I dont know the type of wood it was

For future reference, couldn't a piece like this be cut up for shipping and then glued back together at arrival with some krazy glue or some other fish safe type glue? Its not like it would be under terrible amount of stress so I would think that some glue could totally hold it together?
