can ur stairs handle the weight?
yeah old house the beams are 15'' thick
can ur stairs handle the weight?
8-10 to do it safely and with minimal risks. Sure 4 grown men can lift it, but carrying it down a flight of stairs with no support on the sides is another matter. Stick at least 3 guys on the bottom of the stairs to take the brunt of it. But then again, you're trying to figure out how to move it without additional help, lol. Good luck man.
How thick is the 500g's acrylic? Must be very thick to weigh 750 lbs. My 600g is 3/4" thick acrylic and it weighs just under 500 lbs which took 4 guys lifting it with ease. What u could do is if your flight of stairs is carpet and straight u can slowly slide it down. I've moved many tanks like this. Also get industrial suction cups and furniture dollies. They make the move much easier and less lifting too.

its 1'' 1/2'' will sliding it not scratch it?
Damn that's thick acrylic. Yes it will scratch it but if u don't care about the bottom of the tank then who cares no one will see it. Also yes 6 strong guys helping would be ideal as it took 6 guys comfortably to lift my 450g glass which weighed around 700 lbs. Use the suction cups. Without them u would need at least 8 guys...

Let me know how it goes, I just got a 900gal 10' x 4' x 3' tall, I'll post pics while I stand back and watch. I hired a tank builder and a bunch of friends to help. It should be fun, it's 1" thick all the way around, top and bottom! Wish me luck!
thanks for the help
