I like the changes.
1) What is the last set of filtration to the left of the last bio balls? Is that more mechanical?
2) Now that you have more bio media later, I'm not so concerned about the first set not getting added mechanical filtration right below the sock.
A couple future thoughts:
1) as you use the sump, if you see debris collecting in the bio balls under the sock, clean them off (with tank water), re-insert them, then add a sponge right above them. That should help.
2) If you find your water parameters are not what you want (too high or taking too long to clear up), then consider adding some Seachem Matrix to the sump. (Add it, don't toss any existing media.) You still have some nice space on the left side and you can drop in some Matrix inside a mesh bag on the bottom before the pump.
3) If the sponge media is actually jammed together and starts getting clogged, you could have issues, so examine that as a regular thing. You'll have BB on it, and you can just rinse off individual sponges as they get dirty. Most of your BB will still be on the bio balls, so no worries there if you wash it off the sponges, just avoid water with chlorine when you wash them.
