Update: my last batch was a disaster. Maybe 300+ hatched and lasted maybe 9-10 days. Power went out while at work and I came back to a bunch of dead. Only one survived. That one is doing great and is about an inch to an inch and a quarter in size.
The parents are ready again and should be giving me eggs again within the next couple days.

I love packs of cichla when they are tiny like that. Good job! Get some more rolling and quit thinkn bout leaving cichla. They are a part of you now. And there is no denying that. Cichla are way cooler than reptiles and we all know that. So just be glad you still have them and quit trying to sell your man hood. Keep it CREAM!

Hoping for better success this upcoming batch. Getting rid of the catfish so they don't munch a majority of the eggs. I swear this lil guy I posted a pic of grew a quarter inch in the past couple hours. Lol

Who said anything bout reptiles?? I've worked with them for over 15yrs and in the 3 yrs with fish I've found the fish more enjoyable.

Forgot to mention... The power of the cichla won't let me let them go.. LoL
Just my 17" male mono and 13" female mono may be going back to my buddy.

Wasn't me :)
If I got back into reptiles I'd get crocodilians and hots again but I have a family to start and dogs. I'll have to pass on higher risk. The other stuff isn't as exciting anymore. LoL
