Payara tank info needed.

If its being used exclusively as a growout, you'd be ok with either. A 2" Armatus will outgrow it in a couple of months at the absolute most, a 2" tat would last a bit longer. Tats grow a bit slower than armatus do; I've observed a growth of only one half of an inch a month in my tat.

you buy new tanks and fish constantly we propose ideas for them every day.

I have the feeling all your threads are about as real and serious as your big "pond build"

lol less ideas, more doing.

I personally would put any armatus in a growout tank smaller than a 75 gallon. i have a 7 inch armatus in my 75 gallon and it's seems kinda crammed. I'm upgrading very soon.
A tat in a 40 breeder can last you alot longer though.

I wouldn't put an armatus in anything smaller than a 75, on a side not, finding them at 2" is almost unheard of. Most come in 4" + and $100+. I'm already drawing up plans for a 500gal plywood build indoor pond or tank with a large viewing window.

I hope your dog can swim.....those glass tanks do not look properly supported. The perimeter bottom frame needs to sit on something.

Definitely don't want to use those for an armatus, they wouldn't last very long at all (and please only do so knowing you would need a giant tank after that one for an armatus). Tats might be able to grow out in there for a bit, but not very long either. I haven't seen tats or armatus available recently anywhere under 5-6", so even then your 40b would be almost too small already. If you can find them at 2" then maybe, but you'd have to find them first.

Armatus aren't "in season" right now, so findind them will be nearly impossible unless a private seller has one. Most people that have them don't want to loose them either lol
