Whats his current conditions and symptoms? If a bacterial or fungal infection takes hold you may need to consider stronger meds

Shes just sitting at the bottom barely moving. Im doing a water change as we speak. I dont see fungal infection but that white layer of heeling skin in the picture is falling off revealing raw red meat. Temp is around 86 and plenty of oxygen added (shes not gasping for air or anything) shes just listless but alive. Shes not eating. I dont have any antibiotics on hand.

Keep up the wc's and keep a close eye on the wounds and their progression. Listlessness and lack of appetite is to be expected with a severly injured fish. The next few days will be very telling as to whether he will recover. Good luck

Good luck... Hope she pulls through

I am afraid not of the wound but of secondary bacterial infections. Is it alone Woofy , in a hospital tank?

Being " down" is not a good sign, i am afraid.

Watch the wound very closely. You will know, by the way it looks, whether it is infecting or not. I have been through this before.

In the old times i would put it in a hosp tank dosed with methylene blue and very well aerated. I would also take her out ( not today ...) and gently paint the wound with (?) red stuff our Mothers put on our wounds ( mercurium chrome? ) and let it dry dor a couple of seconds.

I am not as optimistic as the other guys, but i will be wrong.
