Anyone ever tried mixing Peacock Bass with ATFs?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i highly doubt the bass will be injured by the tigers.... in fact i give it a month until the bass have the tigers huddled in a corner and stealing all the food.... i hope it works for you, and there is no other way to know until you try, but these are my thoughts.... i tried twice with bass, the 2nd time they didnt eat anyone, but they did have my larger goliaths huddled in a corner

DAYUM!

Poor guy, he looks like he used to be really pretty too. How long did it take for your pack to brutalize him so?

That was about 3 hours of torture. I left to go eat lunch and came back to this.

Before I left I could see that they were bumping it like how some predators nip and charge their prey. So I figured I'll feed them so they won't be hungry and think it's food. Well they ate the food and calmed down a little so I left. Obviously they couldn't leave him alone so he ended up getting shredded.

I've already lost a 4" pink tail chalceus when I left for 3 days. I came back and only half of it was floating around. If I would have left him longer I'm sure he would have suffered the same fate.

That's outta control!

My goliath did the same thing to my first vittatus many moons ago too. ATF can be a-holes LOL

FWIW, his aggression dropped pretty much to zero when I got him used to eating pellets.

This is actually what my original plan was, I wanted to do 2 or 3 monos with my ATF down the road. I don't think it'll work out after seeing my ATF in action (even at 4"), I can't imagine what would happen if there was a fight at 14".

If you can get it to work, please do, I'll be all over this and copying you :D. I think it'd be a beautiful cohab, I just don't know how their personalities and feeding behaviors would work together for the long haul.
