Hi all, if anyone can give me a pic or two and names of what Plecs you are keeping, in harmony, with your rays. any troubles?

Not many keepers including myself keep plecos with rays because they aren't ray safe. There are some pretty nasty pics of what they can do to a ray out there...

I keep 7 of these with my rays, L-200, beautifull! They go in a 1200 gallon tank tho! I also have a Gibbiceps pleco, will see with that one as it grows really fast in there, alot of protein food.

That is a beaut mate, i am after some Plecs for my 450G i am building not as big as yours, do you think its better/safer to keep these fish togehter in a big tank, i am after some young as i like to rear fish.

I have had bushy nose, sailfin, and common. I believe the pleco needs a good hide and the tank should be well fed. Two of my pelcos have been eaten. There is a risk both ways.

Sweet pleco - what kind is it?

I've kept sailfin plecos and L14 with rays with no problems. Key is to keep the sizes proportional so 1 species doesn't dominate the other. I don't keep plecos in my pup tanks as I find they will outcompete them for food and harass them. The sailfins do a good job on the algae and will clean up the scraps left over by the rays.
