Dovii got colors, Umbees got built.
Dovii face look ugly and Umbees' look cute.

Umbees win for overall look.
Dovii win colors and biggest baddest status.

I really love the dovii's colors but I dislike the long snout with the long body.
Umbees I like everything.


But they are both must haves and are different..

to tell you the truth i mostly get these shots wen i wake up and turn the lights on, i dont know why but as soon as they go on the most intense blues are shown like in my avatar, sometime he does look washed out and white but only after a water change, this is what he looks like id say about 80 percent of the timeyawn.JPG

Hey bro, u really have a nice dovii!! I still love dovii but I am more of an umbee fan myself. After seeing your dovii I've considered possibly getting dovii again:) but honestly dovii vs umbee is just a matter of opinions lol people can argue either way till there blue in the face and it won't change anything:) I guess it really depends on the individual fish as to which one has better colors or personality. Imo as of lately I think anyone can pick up dovii from anywhere and grow it out and compare it to majority of the Rio mag umbees that have been available over the last year and my money is on the dovii 9 times out of 10!!! I haven't been impressed with alot of the Rio mag umbees I've seen lately. Either they lack freckles, red in the cheeks, nuchal humps and great color. Whatever I guess, some people can find beauty in some of the ugliest fish lol but there are blue umbees out there that I've seen that just plain destroy any dovii out there and again just difference in opinions.ill look around for the pics I'm talkin about. And these are pics of beautiful umbees not beautiful pics of average umbees;)

Jagster your dovii is gorgeous! His color is outstanding! Keep him for life. When he Hits a good 12 inch I guarentee he will be a complete Nut, you will see :)

Do you mind if I ask what Generation he is??
 
Thanks for the comoliments and I definantly will keep him. To tell you the truth idk. The guy at the lfs said that the batch of fry were wild caught but I mean I can't be sure
