Why New Life Spectrum???

I think this whole argument about fish food is total nonsense to be honest. I think people should try all types of food and use the one that they feel works best for their fish and them. To try to say that NLS is superior to all foods is purely your opinion in which you are entitled to but let us not forget that opinions are not fact. Remember, all fish are different just like humans are different from each other....just because they look similar does not mean that they are. Each fish will react differently to certain foods no matter what the brand. I feel that most of the foods on the market right now are pretty darn good...it just takes an experienced hobbyist to be able to decipher the ingredients so they are getting the best food for their fish. In closing, I feel most foods such as NLS and Massivore are way overpriced and it's similar to buying a harley motorcycle....just because it's a harley does that mean it's worth more? I don't think so.

CONGRATULATIONS TO SAMEER3600 FOR WINNING "FISH OF THE YEAR!"

And I've seen pirahnas that were huge, healthy, and better looking fed on a diet of any manner of raw meat (including hotdogs) and feeders. Your point?

For my fish I do the blended approach. I currently feed then theraA, hikari massivore, hikari sinking wafers, freeze dried earthworms, freeze dried bloodworms , freeze dried krill, fresh zucchini, freeze dried mysis shrimp.

Exactly my sentiments. Threads like these annoy the hell out of me cause there is no point in posting them beyond the OP screaming: "YOU SHOULD FEED ONLY NLS NOW BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!"

What about the hobbyist who've raised fish successfully for 30+ years, well before NLS ever even existed, and had absolutely stunning fish that lived long and healthy lives? NLS is basically a ploy to capitalize on the "whole foods" movement; it paints a pretty picture but in actual practice it's not actually any better than many other fish foods on the market.

I guess asking for no debate may have been foolish on my part. I'm seeing improvements in my fish since starting NLS in vitality and overall body form. Other foods ala hikari, omega one, and dianichi etc... Are all high quality but the article which the other manufacturers don't waste their time attempting to put anything up similar is why I chose to switch.

The OP was just trying to share the article with us, regardless of what we feed. He wasn't insinuating a versus vs. versus thread.

Maybe because they feel like the results of feeding their food speaks for itself and they don't have to hype their pellets in order to get people to try them?
