Cichlids in thier natural habitat.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Very cool to see them in a natural setting. Looks like wherever they are has some pretty good water flow to it. First one was locing up on the camera man lol.

Yeah I figure it would be rivers and lakes they filmed the fish in. I was laughing at the neets. Those little guys have a monster attitude.

You should watch jewels of the rift lake on youtube, it's a documentary about cichlids

Ill check it out.

Think this video has been posted before. From what I remember these are not actually filmed in the wild.

Yes, it's been posted before but hard to beleive that this is not actually filmed in the wild. The description says: "Underwater video shots from Panama, Costa rica, Belize, Guatamala". Video shows distinctly different habitats. Even a full, large sunken tree at one point and the few open water shots fade into a haze. If these are tanks, some apear to be in the many 100's of thousands of gallons!

Film os awesome. Did not think that cichlids mixed so freely with poecilidae and other smaller species.

Music is fairground music. Sublime.
