How often do you guys feed newborns?

Yea I have this none have bred yet what don't you get?? Let me guess because I only feed my adults once a day thats why I don't have pups yet? or maybe its because I transfered them recently back to my house and moved them from system to this system and finally put them all back together.

......Back to the point of this. I feed once a day and when i have pups I will feed once a day. I have had pups that I bought from my buddy and fed them once a day and nothing went wrong with that.

I feed my rays once a day. They are fat and active allday. Is there proof that feeding more makes for a healthier ray? Mine will eat till their full then bury themselves for awhile.

I sometimes feed my pups twice a day. Regular fair at night when I feed the rest, and occasionally they will get a few chopped worms in the early morning.

My rays have always been happy with once a day. They have a healthy hunger but don't gorge, developing quite nicely. Problem is its hard to get food to them with my 2 vulture cats and my 3 peacock bass taking a great deal so the everyday feedings are big, and the rays always have enough.

the thing is new born pups bellys are very small so one feed per day is not enough

think about how fast a new born grows compaired to say a 12" ray then you may understand why they need so much food

i also feed my adults once per day with no problems

but the thread is about new borns right

and my reasons are stated above and a new born will lose weight fast compaired to a adult
